Victory Fund
The national organization dedicated to electing openly LGBTQ candidates

The 2018 United States midterm elections will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. These elections will take place in the middle of Republican President Donald Trump’s term. All 435 seats in the United States House of Representatives and 35 of the 100 seats in the United States Senate will be contested.
Since 1991, Victory Fund has helped elect thousands of LGBTQ people to positions at all levels of government. These LGBTQ voices have made significant contributions to advancing equality for LGBTQ Americans – from passing non-discrimination laws to defeating amendments to ban marriage equality.
Victory Fund is working tirelessly to elect LGBTQ politicians at every level of government so LGBTQ people in other states never face similar legislation.
Below is list of the openly gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender candidates across the United States who have won their election in 2018 or who will be on the ballot for the midterm elections in November 2018.
If you need a reminder of how important it is to have LGBTQ people in all levels of government, HB2 passed in North Carolina because there were no openly LGBT state legislators to stop it.
